Upon inspection it was noted that the existing paintwork was displaying all the classic signs of micro blistering / stress cracking which are associated with air dryed paint. As is well documented the car had been subjected to a strip back to bare metal and repaint back in the 1980s. Thanks to the advances in paint technology we can be assured that our labours will be rewarded with a lasting and durable finish which will provide more than ample protection for the future.
Now that the paint is removed and the previous repairs and local corrosion are clearly visible it's decision time as to the best course of repairs.
